Activities include consulting; IMP/IMS training; development/evaluation of corporate systems engineering management processes; development and evaluation of corporate configuration management processes; review and evaluation of test plans/procedures; development, test, and demonstration of business enterprise systems. In addition, PII develops internal processes for engineering management such as Engineering Review Boards, Configuration Control Boards, and Risk Management Boards. PII assists with the evaluation and tailoring of SOW development/test/management compliance docs; training of engineering managers for program execution; review of requirements documents, review of the planning for and results of technology demonstrations; review of Mil-Std-1521 design review documents, and review stakeholder comments on test and integration programs. PII also assists with the review of subcontract management plans and program execution budgets. Practical Innovations International provides acquisition and life cycle management as a part of its Professional Engineering Services. This includes program management support; development and evaluation and training on corporate financial management processes and estimating manuals; feasibility analysis of corporate wide use, logistics planning and operational requirements determination; policy/standards/procedures development; and implementation support. PII provides senior Acquisition Gray Beard advice to senior leaders from program office to agency level, program execution planning; budget and cost execution management; technical and management support to contracting personnel, such as input to contract modifications and post award contract administrative clean up and development and implementation of award fee and incentive plans. PII provides acquisition management training to engineering staff; interfaces with external review teams, higher headquarters, and other agencies for major milestone review preparations; develops concepts for major risk reduction and capability maturation efforts under major system contracts; and supports development of program requirements for operations and support. For source selection provides advice and training for the evaluation team, develops plans and schedules; briefings and evaluation reports.
